Sometimes, one has to give up. It's far easier than to keep trying. At least you convinced yourself that you can still control the situation. However, giving up has it's advantages too.
You feel peaceful. You don't fear failure. You realize things far more clearly than you thought you yourself is capable of. There is a new sense of self-discovery that is so liberating.
I realized, like respect, things like love, affection and understanding cannot be demanded. Sometimes, if you are really lucky, you will get some of these exactly when you need them. and sometimes, as I am sure everyone has felt at some point in their lives, you may cry and complain all you want, but not a thing will budge.
That's when you need to step back, relax and surrender. The situation may not be ideal, but you know for certain, one way or the other, this too shall pass.

ReplyDeletehas anybody give up on his happiness and love just so u cud go on smiling?? confusing as it may be ..this is what we have shared between us.. he sacrificed his feelings, for me to have a normal happy life away from him ..how cud i give up on sombdy who cares so mch. letting go? i know it will come one day..it will. when im on the other side of this so called life!
hi carldon.. yes i have been in the same boat before.. i have been hurt many times and sometimes the pain was so unbearable that it became numb. I guess we all have our shares of battles and struggles. It is in how we fight it that matters. MY heart has been ,played on, cheated , humiliated, torn to pieces. It has been beaten up , scarred yes but never broken. All wounds heal so they say and one day when all the pain has subsided you will be able to smile, look back and say hey heart, you've survived. :) Be happy my dear...everyone deserves to be. It may be hard as i've said but it is never impossible. xoxo
